All About EmSculpt

Emsculpt® is a non-invasive, High-Intensity Focused Electro-Magnetic Technology (HIFEM®) procedure that induces powerful muscle contractions. These muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary work. When exposed to strong contractions, the muscle tissue is forced to adapt. It starts to remodel the inner tissue structure which builds fat and sculpts the body. Emsculpt® is the only procedure to help both women and men build muscle and sculpt their body. In addition, the Emsculpt® creates the world’s first non-invasive buttock toning procedure. This is an ideal treatment to enhance your results from other body sculpting treatments that we offer!

Emsculpt® is an FDA-cleared device that is intended for improving abdominal tone, strengthening abdominal muscles and developing firmer abdomen. It also strengthens, tones, and firms the buttocks and arms.

Emsculpt® Candidates

Anyone can benefit from the Emsculpt® procedure, but it is best suited for individuals who are close to their desired body weight and want to improve the tone and shape of their stomach, buttocks, and arms. It is also important that individuals be emotionally and physically healthy and are realistic about what Emsculpt® can and cannot accomplish. A consultation with one of the doctors at Evolv Plastic Surgery & Medical Aesthetics will help determine if this treatment is right for you.

There are some contraindications for the Emsculpt® procedure which include, but are not limited to, cardiac pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, implanted neurostimulators, electronic implants, pulmonary insufficiency, metal implants, pregnancy, and sensitivity or allergy to latex.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Typically, a series of 6 treatment sessions are done in the office, scheduled 2-3 days apart. We will help you create a treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. With any non-surgical procedure, results will vary from person to person, but positive results are usually reported two to four weeks after the last session and continue to improve for several weeks following the treatments.

Emsculpt® Recovery

With Emsculpt®, there is no downtime, but you may experience some muscle soreness, redness in the treatment area, and soreness in tendons or joints. You may return to regular activity immediately after your treatment. The Emsculpt® procedure feels like an intensive workout. You can lay down and relax during the treatment.

Emsculpt® and Other Treatments

In many cases, other treatments may be recommended along with your Emsculpt® treatment. For example, your provider may suggest a series of Vanquish ME, which disrupts fatty cells through the selective heating of adipose tissue, thus leading to fat cell shrinkage and elimination. It can also be combined with Exilis Ultra, a skin tightening treatment to improve the appearance of the skin. Similarly, we may also recommend a treatment series of Cellutone to improve the appearance of cellulite, if necessary to achieve your goals.

Our comprehensive approach to aesthetics ensures that you will receive maximum results with our advanced technology services. When paired with a healthy lifestyle, these non-invasive therapies can produce superior outcomes, improving self-esteem and confidence. Maintenance treatments are also available to extend results.
