What it is
Juvéderm dermal fillers are unique formulas of hyaluronic acid that have different chemical makeups for treating specific areas of the face. These fillers can be used to enhance cheek or lip volume and smooth out wrinkles from beneath for a more youthful, enhanced appearance. Every Juvéderm procedure is individualized to the patient, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, which wouldn’t provide the best results for each unique face.

How Allergan Dermal Fillers Works
Step 01.
All dermal filler treatments begin with a consultation and examination to see whether these products are the best solution for your unique concerns or goals, as well as to create a custom treatment plan with you. We’ll discuss your medical history and schedule a time to have the injections performed.
Step 02.
During your Juvéderm appointment, our team can apply a numbing cream that sits on your skin for about half an hour to ensure your comfort during the injections. Other options for enhancing your experience include Frozen C cryotherapy and Pro-Nox.
Step 03.
During the injections themselves, your provider will make multiple injections throughout the treatment area to ensure even distribution and smooth final results. This process takes between 30 and 60 minutes, and the total number of injections will vary by patient.
Step 04.
Before sending you out to complete the rest of your day, we will provide care instructions and can even schedule your next maintenance appointment to keep your results fresh.
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Juvéderm fillers all use a different formula of hyaluronic acid, a compound that’s found naturally in your skin to help keep it plump and hydrated. Over time, hyaluronic acid is not produced as quickly or in as large quantities, leading to aging signs like volume loss and sagging tissue. Coupled with the wrinkling that occurs due to muscle movement and collagen depletion, these factors all contribute to the folds and wrinkles Juvéderm aims to treat.
By replenishing certain areas of skin with natural hydration through hyaluronic acid formulas, folds, and wrinkles are naturally filled in, resulting in a smoother, more voluminous complexion.
