Belotero
Belotero is a unique hyaluronic acid filler that is manufactured to naturally integrate with your skin as it treats wrinkles and folds in the eyelids, lower face, and around the mouth.
Radiesse
A unique type of filler, Radiesse is based on calcium hydroxylapatite, a compound that is naturally found in the mineral component of bone tissue and safe for use throughout the face and the hands, depending on your needs or concerns.
How Merz Dermal Fillers Works
Step 01.
You begin your dermal filler treatment with a comprehensive consultation to ensure your medical history and type of concern are best treated with dermal fillers. You’ll also receive expert recommendations for your custom treatment plan and then schedule your appointment for the actual injections.
Step 02.
On the day of your treatment, you’ll be seated comfortably in a private room while a topical anesthetic may be applied to ensure you feel little to no discomfort during the injections. Depending on your comfort level we may also use Frozen C cryotherapy or Pro-Nox to help you relax further.
Step 03.
Your EVOLV professional will then review your treatment plan again. One or more injections of your chosen product throughout the treatment area will be made, ensuring even distribution of the product for the best final result. The injection process typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes.
Step 04.
After completion of your treatment and review of your results, we’ll provide you with specific care instructions to make the most of your dermal filler treatment and you should schedule a maintenance appointment at a point in the future we can expect the effect to fade.
Radiesse and Belotero
Merz fillers use both natural hyaluronic acid (Belotero) as well as calcium hydroxylapatite as active ingredients. Hyaluronic acid can be formulated in different ways to create different viscosities of the gel. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found and created in the body, although as we age, we produce less and less of it. It’s a compound that keeps the skin hydrated and, by extension, smooth and full. Without it, wrinkles begin to form and volume loss takes place. By injecting the skin with more hyaluronic acid, you gain a little bit of volume in a highly specific place to help physically smooth out the appearance of wrinkles and volume loss.
Calcium hydroxylapatite, (Radiesse) on the other hand, is used when the goal is restoring deeper tissue volume. Radiesse is ideal for tissue elevation and contour improvement and also can be diluted for rejuvenating skin and more superficial signs of aging.
Results and Recovery
Your results and a more youthful appearance can be seen immediately but will continue to improve over several days as swelling and tissue reaction diminishes. Although occasional redness and bruising are seen, it can be covered with camouflage makeup 24 hours post-treatment.
