How Vanquish Works
Vanquish ME, or Maximum Energy, and Exilis Ultra are non-surgical technologies designed to reduce fat or fatty excess and tighten the skin. The science behind this technology with Vanquish ME and Exilis Ultra has been developed over a number of years through numerous animal and clinical studies. These studies have been done to confirm the safety of using radio frequency energy and being able to target fat cells. This system disrupts the fat cell membrane, destroying fat, which is then taken away by the lymphatic system.
The Vanquish device is the only technology of its kind that is contactless, so it doesn’t touch the skin. It also has the largest treatment area and can treat around the entire abdomen, in the love handles and flanks. During treatment, which takes approximately 45 minutes, the patient simply lies on a table in the office with the Vanquish is positioned around their abdomen and trunk. The energy is directed to the fat that’s under the skin. The skin is not affected, and the technology is designed to heat the fat without touching the skin, breaking up excess fat cells, which are then taken away over time through the body’s circulatory system.
Vanquish + Cellutone
One exciting new addition to the Vanquish ME is the use of sound waves in a device called the Cellutone to improve lymphatic drainage and take away the excess fatty debris more quickly for a more effective result. The Cellutone was just introduced by the BTL Aesthetic company to complement Vanquish ME treatments, which in our experience have given better reduction of excess fat, and I think is unrivaled in the area of non-surgical fat reduction for its efficiency, safety, and patient comfort. There is no downtime, and four to five treatments are usually recommended.
Exilis Ultra
The Exilis Ultra is a non-invasive device that can treat wrinkles, fine lines, and tighten skin, as well as improve the appearance of cellulite. It can be used on virtually any area of the body, also utilizing radio frequency technology. The recent addition of ultrasound to the Exilis, which is termed Exilis Ultra, has resulted in more effective treatment by allowing the device to heat the fat more efficiently with greater patient comfort. This results in more efficient skin tightening and reduction of fine lines in the skin, as well as some fat reduction if needed. It’s a very versatile device and can basically be used anywhere where skin tightening is desirable. It can also be used to improve the appearance of cellulite and can be combined with the sound wave device, the Cellutone.
