Patient Care Advisor (and also very TALENTED makeup artist) shares with us her favorite Jane Iredale “must haves”! She does an absolutely stunning job with makeup and would love to share her tips and tricks with you!
Looking at my “must haves” has me feeling high maintenance! There’s a lot here, but the reason these are all on my list is because overall, it’s not too many products to have in your bag if this is all you have, and there’s plenty of looks that can be created from this set of products. Ok, enough rationalizing my makeup addiction…here’s how I’ll use my favorites:
Weekend/Natural – Dream Tint comes in several different shades, warm bronze is my favorite, especially for spring since it adds a little color when I’m feeling pale! Dot all around the face & apply with the Blending Brush for best results. Pop a few dots of In Touch Cream Blush on the cheeks. Most people are afraid of Clarity because it’s such a bright pink but looks so pretty on just about anyone. You can also use this on the lips too! Add a little mascara to lashes and now I’m willing to be seen in public.
Everyday – Start with your Dream Tint, then add a layer of PurePressed Base with the Handi Brush. I contour just about every day, so my next step is the Beyond Matte HD Powder in Dark – I don’t love a shimmery bronzer so this is perfect! Just a quick dust at my hairline, under my cheekbones and at my jawline to add some definition. Sometimes I’ll use it on my eyelid crease too (apply with the Crease Brush). I typically use a powder blush on days I’m using my pressed powder – In Love is a nice one for most skin tones (not pictured). To put the finishing touch on your face, spritz with Smell the Roses Hydration Spray, I love the smell of it! For every day, eyes get a quick dust of Cream or Oyster Pure Pressed Shadow with the large Eye Shader Brush, add a line on the top lash line with Black Eye Pencil and a coat of mascara. Lips, I’ll use the gloss side of Compulsion Lip Fixation for every day.
Special Occasion – for a night out or on days you’re feeling like stepping it up a bit, I just add on to my every day routine. I will usually use more PurePressed Base on these days, and layer my powder blush over the In Touch Cream Blush for more color. Eyes of course get smoky – Crushed Ice is my favorite eyeshadow for this! It’s a grayish taupe with a little shimmer and looks good on everyone. I like to use it in my crease and along the lower lash line. Line the top and bottom lash lines with Black Eye Pencil and top with mascara. Lips get a layer of the stain from the Compulsion Lip Fixation, and if I’m feeling really fancy, I’ll layer the gloss on top.
The bottom line with makeup, it’s supposed to be fun! You can use your basics to create lots of looks, so for more tips and tricks that might work for you, stop in to see your makeup artist and we’d be happy to help.

We have Rachel, one of our lovely aestheticians to share with you the new Jane Iredale Spring line of makeup that his hot off the press! Just reading this helps me envision spring really is right around the corner! I can visualize sitting on the front porch with some cute flip flops on with a sweet tea in hand!
I am absolutely obsessed the new Spring colors from Jane Iredale. The Getaway Eye shadow Kit has 5 fabulous colors that you can rock on the daily. I have been covering the entire lid with “footprints” and then using “tea on the porch” on the outer eye to add a touch of glamour but still achieving a day time look. Highlight under the brow and in the inner corner of the eye with “fresh air” and add a little bit of the espresso jelly jar liner to the upper lid (and of course mascara!) and you are good to go! Just add a little of the “Starry Night” and ramp up the sparkle with more “tea on the porch” to go from day to night!
That espresso jelly jar liner is a rare gem in the eyeliner world! One of the other gals in the office, Leah, pointed out that it isn’t really brown, black or grey, it’s a hybrid color which is what makes it so interesting to the eye. It can be worn as smooth defined line or you can get an edgy look with a smudged out line.
As a lover of the Just Kissed Forever Pink Lip and Cheek stain I was a little skeptical about the new Forever Peach, especially since peach is NOT usually in my color palette. However, since the Just Kissed Lip and Cheek stains use your own body chemistry to create a custom color it really compliments every skin tone!
Last but definitely not least the Balance Hydration Spray will finish off any look. It is great for giving longer staying power to your Jane Iredale Mineral powder foundations and to set your eye shadow. Balance is also specifically designed to control the skin’s oil which is perfect for the transition from dry, flaky winter to skin to our more dewy Spring/Summer skin.
Call and schedule your Spring makeover today – Enjoy a little pampering time and we know you will love the new colors! 419-720-2008
