How Does Halo Work?
Halo can treat an array of skin issues, including sun spots, fine lines, uneven skin texture, and more. It is the first hybrid factional laser, meaning that it delivers both non-ablative and ablative wavelengths simultaneously.
While ablative lasers offer effective results, they usually require lengthy downtime. Non-ablative lasers are less-invasive with less downtime. The Halo incorporates the best qualities of both of these lasers for effective results with little downtime and is an extremely safe and consistent therapy. Pre-conditioning the skin with a personalized evolv medical skin care regimen is essential for optimal healing and long lasting results.
The Halo Treatment
During treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area to ensure a comfortable session. The Halo laser will target the skin’s collagen layer to create youthful looking skin. There is little to no downtime involved. Some redness, swelling and flaking can be expected but this is limited, and downtime is minimal compared to other laser resurfacing options.
Following treatment, patients may experience warm skin and some redness for up to 24 hours. Cold compresses can help to reduce any redness or swelling that occurs. The skin may begin to peel and flake for up to one week. After the skin is fully healed, smoother, vibrant skin will be visible, usually after five days. Your evolv medical aesthetician and Dr. Barone will provide specific instructions on resuming your medical skin care after treatment in order to protect and maximize your Halo treatment results.
