The overall cost for the microneedling will depend on many factors including the depth and extent of the treatment and adding other complimentary procedures such as PRP, topical growth factors, or medical skin care products. For deeper needling or collagen induction therapy, red light LED therapy has been proven to reduce recovery time and improve healing and may be considered. All costs will be itemized and discussed with you before planning any treatment by your provider or our EVOLV Patient Coordinator.
Not at all because the type and depth of needling, the quality of the needles and the technique involved can vary greatly as can results. Deeper wrinkles, scars or more advanced skin damage and aging may require more aggressive and additional treatments. In our experience overall many years and thousands of treatments, the results with microneedling, as with any aesthetic procedure or treatment, depend mostly on the training and experience of the provider. In addition, the use of topical growth factors, PRP and other bioactive products can also significantly affect the outcome in microneedling treatments.
Recovery time after microneedling will depend upon the depth and extent of the needling as well as the quality and time of skin preparation before the treatment. At EVOLV, we have found that personalized medical skin care programs before treatment can significantly impact the quality of results as well as the recovery. Superficial microneedling or ‘cosmetic’ needling does not typically require any downtime whereas deeper needling or ‘collagen induction therapy’ as well as RF microneedling (Infini Genius) will usually involve several days of downtime.
