The first dressing change will be done in the EVOLV office 3 or 4 days after the surgery and then patients may shower at home. Although there will be some mild swelling initially, each patient can immediately see their results. The swelling will gradually resolve and as that occurs, the breast will become more naturally soft and comfortable in time. Some sensation or feeling in the central breast is typically diminished during the first few weeks but will fully recover in time. All post-surgical patients are seen in the office as many times as needed until the recovery is completed and then will be evaluated on a yearly basis.
